In January 2020, the director Xiaorui reunited his cast and team to finish a film that was abandoned during the production ten years earlier. However, the team was suddenly locked together during the beginning of Covid-19. Facing with the challenges of the pandemic, Saarui and his crew are forced to determine how to move forward in the fast -changing world. From the famous director Lou Ye (River Suchzhou, the Summer Palace), an unfinished film is “a completely unique and very important movie about Kovid, the crisis that has affected all of us” (The Guardian). Combining artistic and documentary footage together, Lou to commemorate the lost from the virus and creates “one of the most thoughtful, true and tactical images of the pandemic placed on the screen.” (The shell).
